eyes on amanda seyfried

letters to juliet
"Dear Claire, "What" and "If" are two words as non-threatening as words can be. But put them together side-by-side and they have the power to haunt you for the rest of your life: What if? What if? What if? I don't know how your story ended but if what you felt then was true love, then it's never too late. If it was true then, why wouldn't it be true now? You need only the courage to follow your heart. I don't know what a love like Juliet's feels like - love to leave loved ones for, love to cross oceans for but I'd like to believe if I ever were to feel it, that I will have the courage to seize it. And, Claire, if you didn't, I hope one day that you will. All my love, Juliet."

lame but this is what it left from my amanda seyfrieds' overdose night.

red riding hood
definitly a surprise. the story revolves around a girl called valeria who lives in a village in which there is a ritual of sacrifice every full moon to a werewolf due to the creation of a pact to seize peace. this pact is mantained until one day, the werewolf kills an element of the village and the population turns on them and decides to kill it.
i must say that i was really surprised because it has all the details we still did not forget about the story but applied in different contexts and i think this is what makes this a terrific adaptation of a tale into a modern movie. another element in the story is the usual love triangle of every tale, the girl has two boys totally in love with her, one poor and a rich one she is engaged to due to parent obligation, but of course she likes the poor guy. even here, although you can consider it a lame point, i believe the director made an excellent job maintaining the fantasy of a love triangle but taking the whole boring and cliche part.
