the movies

wendy & lucy
a pretty passive movie which leaves a lot of questions that i was intitled to have the answer. it is definitly probably the best role i have seen michelle williams doing thanks to the high level of focus and drama on her, but still the very dramatic plot did not give me enough drama to cry or to feel sad, just wonder if they were going to answer me along the movie, which they did not.

the green hornet
seth rogen, i am pretty much a big fan of his work (although funny people did not really get to me...) and this is definitly his worst role of the movies i have seen from him. the sarcastic funny guy is not here, and i think it is his best attribute in the roles he picks. it is cool on the different things his partner can manage to create, but... for super heroes, the kick ass movie really kicks ass to this one.

morning glory
i have been saying so many bad things about this movie, but after all is visible. rachel mcadams ends up being really funny (not stupid barbie little town girl, as i though it would be) and diane keaton is certainly one of the best actresses and although i thought this would be too low for her and harrison ford, guess what, it managed to be a visible film for a sunday.

london boulevard
i can only say i did not manage to get until the end and that i am really disappointed on one of my favourite actresses, keira knightley. after i saw last night, i thought that she was still the perfect and loving actress i adore, but well this last movie did not make me feel the same way, i just felt it was a waste of her talent. either way, her filmography still supports her talent and i guess what we can conclude is that this is definitly not her thing.

the music

a pretty relaxing band that a friend of mine showed me almost one year ago and it is a pretty cool folk band for chill out moments.

well, i have seen arcade fire when they came some years ago to super bock festival and yeah there was a big fuzz around their concert, i was pleased but nothing that would leave me completely in lone like for example the prodigy did. the suburbs came out and a big fuzz was done around it, but i did not pay any attention to it, i even made an effort to not get around their album. but last week i was on my escape into the interior of the country and a friend of mine put this on. i was in love, completely. for my surprise my friends told: it's the suburbs. and i had to surrender, immediatly. the sound is amazing and for me it is pretty difficult to explain, it just is, and what it is, is amazing.

brick by brick: god what a disappointment, i was just thinking to myself how the submarine soundtrack was so amazing and brick by brick was so bad. but then something happen:
don't sit down cause i've moved your chair
this song for me is considered the evolution of arctic monkeys, it is a whole other level and the beat makes josh homme creep me up. you can feel him there even though his voice is not there. i must admit that this is probably my favourite song of arctic monkeys until now.
