music
alberta cross: this guy that i've met just advised me this by chance and i love it. not hard enough to blow your head, not soft enough for calm moments. just on the right point with a beautiful voice and a more amazing instrumental background.
the beatles: that amazing, probably the best band ever is just an addiction. instead of discovering new bands, i just keep on hearing all the songs, watching all the movies and documentaries about it. "let it be" probably my favourite for songs like "let it be", "i've a feeling" and of course "across the universe". since i did not manage to go on my beatles tour, for sure next year i will be doing the beatles & oasis tour. having a friend saying goodbye while he is playing "helter skelter" on the guitar is just like.. amazing. i'm gonna miss hearing all my beatles songs on the guitar played by him.
the doors: one of my favourite bands for a long, long time. although normally for special situations, i'm deepin' my knowledge on the band. after watching "when you're strange", although there was a bit of disappointment over the documentary, i could not help myself to download "the lost tapes of paris" which provokes a chill when you hear it, or even jim morrisson's movies and interviews. this is that kind of guy that you should pay attention to take out some meaning out of life. despite the fact, the most influential person until now has been john lennon in this matter for me.
john lennon: for sure, we can see the difference between the john lennon on the beatles and john lennon solo. although there is a more political view, there is also a more personal especially due to singles like "mother" which gives me chills and i've been hearing non-stop since i saw the movie "nowhere boy". after watching the documentaries "u.s. vs john lennon" and "imagine", it definitly changed my life. and everytime i forget about it, i immediatly regret it. i guess being on my "lost weekend" can be a big disturbance for it.
manu chao: finally, i gave up to them and i could not resist it!
tv
entourage: what an addiction. 6 seasons of entourage were the best thing ever to study whole books. adrian grenier and jeremy piven are just perfect and major addictions to my eyes. i just want new episodes to come up.
the unusuals: ahn... okay.
pretty little liars: you can pass the time, although i'm really wondering who is the fuckin' person and i've been trying to resist to not search it online!
downtown girls: probably one of the most stupid tv shows i have ever seen, but not having a tv to see all the funny and easy tv shows of mtv leads to this.
cinema
girl on the train: pretty good movie, although i cannot tell why especially because i fell in love with the star of the movie.
he was a quiet man: a fucked up movie that messes with your head by the filming, the special effects and the huge charge of paranoia and schizophrenia. it kind of reminded me a more mainstreamed and polished version (and obviously lighter) of requiem for a dream.
il y a longtemps que je t'aime: i loved the movie because of the performance of the star, kristin scott thomas. her performance is amazing and the ending is just crashing although a bit expected. i was really impressed with her good french and it really inspired me to finally get back to french lessons!
i'm not there: this movie has one of the best lines i've ever heard, the best filming scenes and photography. i was really impressed with this interpretation of a biography, especially of bob dylan. i was really in love with all the performances of the brilliant artists that play all the different parts of bob dylan. a must see!
walk the line: it definitly made me hear johnny cash. it's the story of rock n' roll and how everything can change if you want it and you fight for it. joaquin phoenix in a great performance.
start trek: ahhh it's awesome. and soon i'll be doing a marathon of all the movies.
