overall, an amazing festival which really amazed me not only by the quality of the line-up but mainly by the stage production and how it is invested by the festival organization which I can say are really lower than Portugal.
kate nash: what a surprise! i think that she would be an amazing lead singer for a band like be your own pet; she has the attitude and definitly the voice which I think would really show her potential. i was thinking it would be a very pop show, which was not at all, i think the concert shows us a rocker side of kate nash that is not available by her albums. and of course you cannot miss her, she is the cutest thing ever and seems like a spoiled little cute girl with a piano and a voice to make you go insane!
slash: what can i say about this one? my dream show for years and years. i could not help the tears and the arousal for my sexy symbol. seeing it right two meters from me, it was just too much for anyone to handle. the technical talent, the power of hypnotising a whole crowd, the style, the movement on stage. i was even surprised by slash be wearing the velvet underground shirt, especially a album that i have been listening quite a lot. although slash was everything and even more i could ever expect, the setlist was amazing including songs from the new album but maily from my favourite bands - velvet revolver, the first album contraband and of course guns n' roses. i did not expect any of these two bands, but i must confess it was the concert to die for, totally pure rock n'roll. besides the music, the crowd was insane and the rain only made it better, seeing slash in the front playing the guitar in the rain, it was dignifying of the scene of the riff in november rain. the setlist included sweet child o' mine, nighttrain and paradise city from guns n' roses; slither, dirty little secret, sucker train blues from velvet revolver; ghost, starlight and back from cali from slash's solo album. the only thing that i was really sad about, was missing duff mckagan which i was expecting to be with slash in tour, but i was not lucky, which means i still have two members of guns n' roses to see alive. i must also say after seeing the new guns n' roses of axl rose and slash by itself, i was proven what i believed: slash is really the soul besides axl's genious. the concert was not such a big production in terms of stage, but the sound, the feeling, the rock n' roll was pure and raw on slash's concert. although i cannot forget that axl played november rain. besides all this, myles kennedy which i do not recognize on the concert was totally a surprise, and i must say that this could be totally and easily a substitute for axl rose, the voice and the show that he presents are just amazing, and the duo with slash is completely magnetic and undeniable. and amazingly, i must admit that this was better than any muse concert.
florence and the machine: what can i say about this lady? florence has the most beautiful and amazing voice i have ever heard, and i can totally say that it overcomes matthew bellamy's voice. her presence is undeniably beautiful and magic, the stage is a whole scenario of coordination of light, scenario and music which is a whole that you are drawned to it. i could not ask for more from this band, which showed me how a stage can be so ellaborated and be really the band's world fit into one place. they missed my favourite song "falling" but they started with my second favourite "howl", it was so beautiful and powerful that i could not hold back my tears.
pixies: although i did not have any expectations, i was expecting more from a band like pixies. i must admit i prefer it to the cd's but you can tell that the age affects this show. besides that, i was really happy by dancing with the whole crowd to "where's my mind?".
pink: it started as a total disappointment. it seemed like the second comeback of gwen steffani when she started solo. the little chinese dancers and a stage full of a colourful scenario which for me it was disappointing. although the setlist was not really strong, i enjoyed some songs. pink started as shy (despite her almost nakedness) and not really drawing the crowd's attention to her. as the show went on, you could not believe that it was only a concert. it was the most amazing production of a concert i have ever seen, it was even better than muse's production which i considered to be the best. first, she entered on a big plastic ball in which she throw herself into the crowd and walked almost around all of the people, in a sort of crowdsurfing. and on the final song, she flew all over everyone hanging and doing acrobatic moves while the whole stage was sending flames to the air. it was nuts, and if the music was not the convincing, the show totally was!
prodigy.... PRODIGY! the craziest, the coolest, the best, the impossible to explain concert. the best concert i have ever seen by far (even me, the major muse fan and always defending fan that they assure the best show ever... i changed my mind!). a whole crowd is just thousands of people being the slaves of their music. it is crazy and it freedom to the edge. mosh everywhere, where you do not care about if it hearts you just have to do it! crowdsurf (best experience ever!). even though i was by myself i had the best fun ever. you just go around bumping and be their warrior, voodoo people, and everything they want. the most interactive band i have ever seen. and of course... the jump on smack my bitch up is just like, wtf? you die there. i'm DYING to see them again in the summer!
and i was front row muahahah. awesome song.

A cena da pink está completamente genial! Ah quem me dera ver essa senhora ao vivo, só para ouvir a fun house!
